sportswagon rear pads...which ones?

I need to change the rear pads on the sportswagon, however im told that there are 2 types and the only way to tell the difference is to remove a pad and see if the top is 'oval' or 'square'.
Im going o have to remove the pad, identify it, refit it, just to order the thing.then take it apart again to fit the new ones.

Anyone know if theres a way to tell which pads are fitted without taking the pad out?

Its a 2.0 ts,veloce with sporrts pack built may 2001

Re: sportswagon rear pads...which ones?

you don't have to remove the pad.
The early pads have a spring on top which can be seen through the edge of the caliper, the later pads do not.

cheers for that, pads now all changed, the advice saved me a lot of unnecessary work.
