Re: Sub and amp for original Headset 937 - ALFA 147
Depends completely on budget, what type of music you listen to and what volume you have it at.
For subs, I'd check out the entry level range of good manufacturers like Rainbow, Focal, DLS or Boston Acoustics. Look for something with a small sealed enclosure volume so you don't compromise boot space too much. Sealed enclosures are good for quality rather than doof doof thump (DLS are an exception to the general rule, running in ported boxes). Rainbow Audio Hammer is getting v.good reviews in my part of the world.
Then get amp to match the sub specs. 300w rms is the maximum you want to go considering you're running the other speakers without external amp. You'll probably never use 300rms but it's nice to have some headroom. Can't comment on the Audison recommendation as know nothing about that brand.
As you don't have an RCA from the stereo (I can't confirm this but see earlier post), you'll need an amp that has high level inputs and also a low pass crossover to get just the sub signal rather tahn full range signal.
