Clutch going on 2.0 Selespeed??
Hi guys, this problem started last night on my way home...
Engaging first gear on Selespeed and particulalrly when putting your foot down causes the car to jerk almost like a wheel spin, though it's not that, as I know the points at which my car spins the front wheels. It's like the car starts to go then goes slack and jerks and then goes again.
I pulled into a garage to put some juice in and when I tried to start her up again she would not engage 1st gear for ths first few times, turned her off and on again and I was abe to pull away but still with the same jerky gear change particulalrly from 1st to second. Somehow all other up gear changes also feel 'gluey' now.
This morning from cold was particulalrly bad, couldn't engage 1st for the first few times, then as I was reversing out of my space the problem I was having when putting my foot down was happening and same again in 1st. Seems to be particulalrly bad from cold. Like when you are in a manual and you raise and lower the clutch up and down rapidly a few times.
Somebody at work suggested that it sounds like clutch slip? Sounds feasible from the way I've compared it to jerking the clutch??
Does anyone know the warranty situation on a 3rd year warranty?
How much is a new clutch + labour?
Any answers appreciated.
