Air Bag Warning light/MoT
I have a 10 year old 156, with very low mileage, which I still enjoy driving. However, the air bag light remains on and on a recent service I was told that the ignition system on the side pillar bag had failed. Ordinarily, this would not be critical, but I was told this had to be repaired otherwise the car would fail the next MoT, as all warning lights must now operate correctly. I have been quoted almost £600 for this! The car is barely worth a grand and this would sound the death knell for the car as it would be uneconomic to repair. Surely, there is a way round this?
