Sorry to mention the EGR valve restrictor
Ok so I did the restriction on my GT JTD EGR as suggested with just the square plate onto the EGR body as its the 16 valve, then was told I should also restrict the oval flange on the inlet pipe so I have stripped it down again and completed both restrictor plates now, thing is after installing the oval restrictor and both gaskets either side of the plate this slightly lifted the EGR valve body around 2mm so when bolting it back in I had to gently apply some pressure downwards in order to bolt the unit back in place, wasn't too happy as I thought it may have stressed the. Bolts does this sound normal to anyone else completing the same procedure , its all back together and working fine and I guess as there is a plate and 2 gaskets in place of the one gasket it was going to make a couple of mm difference but just wondered if you guys had he same ?
