Welcome, we may have met?!? Sounds strange but I attend allot of FCCUK track events and used to have a SAAB.

The 156 had the interior changed late 2002; I think it's a taste thing really as I much prefer the early interior personally.
The 156 JTD is defiantly a lovely car and provides good looks, good driving and not a bad engine note (from the 2.4 not sure about the 1.9).
The Mjet is defiantly the engine to go for however it does depend on budgets etc.
I bought my 2002 2.4 JTD 6 moths ago as like you now do a 177 miles a day and needed better fuel eco and loved the 156. I paid about 6k and got the following:
- 2.4 JTD 140 bhp
- 79k on the clock
- Black Momo leather
- Sports Pack 3
- Metallic Gray in excellent condition
- Full service history
- 3 year mechanical warranty
- New tyres all round
With the money Iíve saved from not buying a newer mjet Iím remapping her tomorrow for about £350 ish which should give the car a boost to about 190 bhp making the power not far off what the Mjet provides.
Plus the way that I see it is Iím putting allot of miles on the car so in a year or two Iíll buy a newer model that I can love a little more maybe a Brera or 159
It's a great car and gives good mpg back with some fun characteristics.
