Madness 156 stereo questions

My 156 has a radio cassette with the Alpine multi player cd shuttle in the boot. It seems to be the standard fit 156 head unit but it does not turn on/off with the ignition, the only way of turning it on or off is with the button on the head unit. Can the unit be set so that it comes on with the ignition and goes off when the ignition is turned off?? or is it more likely that someone has messed with the wiring so there's now no switched live supply?? Help!!

Re: 156 stereo questions

Someone posted about this yesterday! Try a quick search and ye shall find......what I don't understand is what's so wrong with switching the stereo on and off?

btw....there is a timer, it will auto switch off if you leave it on by accident.
