Oil change on a 156 is not a trivial job ! first you have to cope with the engine under cover: what I did is make an incision in the undertray where the plug sits. So you don't have to take off the undercover. I used a Dremel rotating saw.
The oil filter can be unscrewed without taking the undercover off, I use a small plastic box to put under the filter on the undertray to collect dripping oil, then unscrew the filter from the inside of the engine compartment. I bought a oilfilter tool which you screw tight around the filter. Use a new copper washer to close the plug.
