Service Parts

Where do you guys buy your filters etc from ?

On the vast majority of my previous cars I have bought from Euro Car Parts / GSF etc and just bought the top spec branded OEM quality stuff which still normally works out significantly cheaper than the dealers

But as I'm new to Alfas just thought I'd ask what most other people do - is there any sort of dealer discount scheme or online genuine parts ordering facility you can recommend ?

Shop4parts are good.
Opie Oils do UFI filters (decent) and good oil.
I tend to fit Eurocarparts stuff to my mum's Vectra, the manufacturers are very random!

My local motor factor... Fram filters.

Bearing in mind that 99.9% of filters sold are made to exact industry standards by law in order to be sold in the EU/UK states and ofen made in the same factories and then labelled for the respective re-seller, there isn't a difference in them.

So if in doubt, avoid EBay international sellers that aren't registered as EU or UK based and of which, don't publish equivalent OE part number compatibility tables which otherwise means you may receive cheap, Asian pattern parts that aren't under the quality control jurisdiction of the EU regulations... Same can be said for all mechanical items for your car.
In other words, you don't have to go crazy on brand, label or price... Just use common sense where you buy them from
