Right, heres the final lap.
after numerous phone calls to and from the insurance company, the final agreed offer was 3k plus recovery costs from Dorset. during one of the conversations it was suggested by the loss adjuster to buy it back and repair it at a cost to us of 25% of the offer. "red rag to a bull then", if its o.k. for me to buy back and repair why cant the insurance company do the same? ( because its classed as a total loss to them ) and after a load of arguing the only way we could proceed with a repair was to claim from our own insurance???? I cant get my head around that one. and when I suggested that they put my daughter back in a position she was in before the accident, I may just as well spoke to the moon.
still just thought you would like to know the outcome, just waiting on the cheque now.
