Im sorry to brake the mould here, but the reasons I dont like the GT are:
1. Bad Looks -
a. The Nose is almost there but not quite right.
b. The profile design (side view) does not belong with that nose, if anything it looks very much like the BMW1 and latest BMW3 series profiles, and we all know they are all UGLY.
c. The rear, well again not sure what to say about this apart from that I dont like it, the rear lights dont look right on that shape, simple as.
2. I didnt like the 147 interrior when I test drove one, and I dont like the GT interrior for obvious reasons. The seats however are a different story..... 156, 147, GT....I like them all, but only if dressed in leather.
Off topic, the best layout interrior from the new models belongs to the 156. Neither the new 159 or 147 or GT compare in layout to the 156 imo. Im not questioning quality here, just layout
I wouldnt buy any of the above cars or keep them if they were given to me for free, bar maybe a 156, and even then I would have to have a fight within to justify keep it. I have my reasons for this believe me.
So it looks like I'll be sticking with the 155 for time to come.
I just hope the new 3 door 149 comes in a RWD flavour (Im afraid AWD/4WD is simply a consolation to a RWD setup). Alfa have simply forgotten that their heritage is about making sports tourers, if they hadn't they would still be making RWD vehicles and charging a bit more to cover the cost of manufacture (like BMW does, its not by chance they are the benchmark), but ohhh boy that extra payout would be sooooo worth it!
I will state that I am a bit of a perfectioninst when it comes to design and looks so I will and do find shortfalls others may not see or a gree to. For those who do not agree with my opinion, just remember it is just that, so no need to disect every sentence.
For what is worth, the best designed Alfa overall in my eyes is the 8c, but unfortunately it will never see it into production...what a real shame that is!!!
