I guess it must be an age thing.
It's also going to depend on the accuracy of the gauge. My TSpark shows a constant 70, but the thermostat is fine and opens at 88 degrees or whatever it is. However, the QV runs at a constant 90, so I reckon my TSpark gauge is inaccurate.
The only way you can tell, I guess is at what point the fan comes on. If you're running at 70 and if it goes above that, your fan comes on, it's an inaccurate gauge. If it runs at 70, but the fan doesn't come on until after 90, then the thermostat is knackered.
