AL, I reckon that unless you have a remap then imo you are better off sticking to a good quality (eg Shell, BP, Esso) 95ron unleaded from a busy service station (so that the fuel is fresh and it won't have sat in the tanks for ages).
I have tried both Ultimate and Optimax and there is no detectable increase in performance, indeed on Optimax the car ran worse. Apparently Optimax deteriorates very quickly in the service station tanks and is only guaranteed to be 95ron by the time you buy it.
evo magazine did a test a couple of months back and didn't really conclude too much other than the fact that there is huge variation in fuel batches, ie you could get a good tank of,for example, Shell one day and a bad batch another. The best way to guarantee a good fuel, as I say, is to use a busy service station. That said, Optimax is meant to have good engine cleaning proerties.
