Think I've got a very similar problem, definitely coming from the passenger side. I thought it might be somewhere either in the passenger door or b-pillar area. Sounds like a bumble-bee trapped in there, in certain road conditions and occasionally when turning right.
I've checked underneath the car and the engine compartment, all panels, engine undertray, wheel-arch covers etc are all secure and tight. Did notice that the passenger door card is a little loose at the bottom rear corner. Might whip it off tomorrow and have a look-see.
I had a similar problem:lol:, took the car out for a ride with the wife in the passenger seat.
when she took the cd's out of the door pocket to select one, the noise stopped. LOL.:lol:
A common issue on the 156 dash is a rattle and vibration from the long windscreen vent covers. The plastic push clips tend to wear over time and loose their grip. Some blue-tac double sided mounting pads under the vent with a hole for the push clip to go through does the trick It makes it a more permanent fixture, but...
Let's face it, how often are they going to be removed in the future?

Is this an easy fix? Do I need to remove the glove box? My worry is not getting it back in cleanly!
