Re: Alfa mileage
QV is 95M with 140k runs like a charm. It had a head rebuild at 110k due to Cambelt tensioner failure.
TSpark is 95N with 126k miles on the clock. Runs like new and I'd back it for another hundred at least. This one has an airbag (QV doesn't) which is supposed to be serviced every 10 years, but I haven't bothered. The airbag warning light's been on since I bought it 4 years ago and something inside the steering wheel airbag part rattles when you turn the wheel, but I'm not particularly fussed about having an airbag, and I bet it would be expensive to sort.
As for the Cats, I can only assume they're fine as they've both just flown through their MOTs well under their emissions limits.
Mileage has never particularly bothered me about cars. I think hours as well as mileage should be put on measured. I'd rather have a car that had done 150k miles in 3 years and well looked after than one that had done 150k in 10 years, no matter how well looked after.
Ex 95 164 TS Super, 95 164 QV, 97 164 V6 Super – all very much missed.
