Re: 156 Ti Selespeed
There can be a 'clack' like sound what engaging 1st or reverse from a standstill; it will vary depending on gearbox oil temperature and the quality of oil in there.
Stalling at low speed was something that happened on the original Selespeeds when they got to around 2-years old, there was a recall (campaign 4407) to remap the engine ECU ignition maps to prevent it happening. It would be worth mentioning that to the dealer. Obviously the 4407 update would not directly apply to your JTS as the ECUs are different, but there may be something else around that does.
When mine got to 2-years old, it would stall the first time I came to a standstill when the engine was cold and a few times it did it when it was warm too. But you could 100% guarantee that it would do it when cold, I had to quickly select N when stopping for the first time, that would prevent the stalling, thereafter it would be ok.
After the 4407 update it was fine, but it did feel like the clutch was closing & opening at higher revs than before.
