156 - 98 MODEL

Odometer rewind?

I was looking at a beautifull 2004 model 156 in a used car showroom yesterday. I have a 98 model but want to upgrade. This car has full sevice history. The service book shows the last service at 145,000 k's but the odometer only shows 130,000. I pointed this out to the sales guy and he just looked like a big "?".

This car dealer had Ferrari, Maserati, Porsche, Jaguar and Alfa for sale. I cannot imagine they would have rewound the odometer.

What can have happened here?

Replacement speedo . Maybe a fault.
The next question is how did they get the money for the Ferrari etc.....
If they don't match they should really know the story.
Did the history have the registration Number on it .
