Signs of a weak battery...?

As the colder morning are drawing near, im getting concerned about my battery...

I have noticed in the cold mornings when i turn my headlights on, all the interior lighting - cd player screen, dash lights fade dramatically... the electric windows wind at a really poor slooooow pace...

would this be the tell tale signs of battery replacement needed??

Something has probably contracted in the cold, e.g. the rubber seal that the window disappears into ...

Nothing like getting your battery checked over , it does remind me that lights dimming in the old days was always a sign that the regulator on the alternator was on the way out.

Re: Signs of a weak battery...?

how old is the battery in your 147?
4-years is about the limit with battery life.
Don't take chances, the Selespeed likes a good health battery and will not work well if it is getting low.
Also, remember that it is not possible to bump start a Selespeed...

Re: Signs of a weak battery...?

My alternator just died, but obviously the battery was running out on it's own before that. First thing I noticed was the central locking took a few goes to open. After that everything died at an alarming rate, leaving me stranded on the A1 with not even hazards. The car completely died just as I got into a parking bay. I would get it checked asap.
