Re: Lowered my car - pics
Thanks for the comments. I havn't stopped driving the 147 since Friday, I am so happy with the results.
Response to Alfajack's comment:
The 155 in the background belongs to my dad, its a 1996 155 2.0 Super, he bought it from a breaker yard, the previous owner had hit the pavement with the right front side of the car at a high speed, and as with most insurance companies in SA, when it's an Alfa, they just write it off, consider it a loss. So he bought it and we repaired it, complete new right front suspension, (cv, strut, lower wishbone etc.) then we had the little bit of body damage repaired and it is running really nice now. Great car.
Response to Selespeed's comment:
The GTV is one of my dad's as well, it's a 1985 GTV 6 3.0 litre, he's got two, they really are awesome cars and very rare (being 2 of only 212 built). The one is completely original, we even have the original set of tyres that came with the car when new(Pirelli P6 or something like that) stored in the garage, the other GTV has been slightly modified though.
It's ironic, cause his everyday car is a Merc, if you met him, you wouldn't think he collected Alfa's.
Right, now that I have given you a whole lot of info you probably didn't need to know, back to my car:
The car has developed a knocking noise from the rear suspension since fitting the springs, and it happens only when you go over speed bumps and the entrance to my driveway, on the open road it is quiet, even through dips in the road. I hope it isn't the rear struts, cause then I am gonna have to put those Bilsteins in earlier than I thought. I'll take it in tomorrow and let them check it out. Will let you know.
Thanks again for the comments - glad you guys like the result.
