147 suspension excessive play
My 147 2.0 T-Spark was just had it's 36,000 mile service at 3 years and 24,000 miles which picked up excessive play in the rear hub bushes, antiroll bar and droplinks. I assumed this would be covered by the warranty as I have only had the car 4 months, but was told that as there were so many points of 'excessive wear', the problem was deemed to be wear and tear rather than component failure and that I should expect to replace the rear hub bushes every 24,000 miles.
I have been offered a compromise, where the warranty pays half the bill and the dealer and myself split the other half - but I don't think it should come down to compromise and should be paid in full by the warranty!
I know it ain't in the league of cambelt problems, but has anybody else had to replace these parts on such a young, low mileage car and been expected to foot the bill?
