im considering replacing the exhaust on my 156 2.0 sillispeed, on ebay there is a manufacturer called cybox Does anyone have any experience of them? Its nearly £300 for a s/steel one....is this a good price?
we seem to have touched a nerve on clear indicators, i only wondered if the exhausts were any good, i am a fan of freeflow exhausts but the downside is the 'chavvy' noise, i had them on a mustang years ago and they were great but a 5.0 v8 can be a bit tiresome on a long run between petrol stations.
does anyone know of a credible stainless steel alternative??? without breaking the bank too much
I have just brought one of these unfortunantly dumb arse DHL trashed the back box while delivering it so i am at present waiting for the replacement to arrive, But i can say the overall quality of the system looks great - good quality stainless steel nice clean welds and the de cat that i have had to go with it is the best i have seen with a nice large silancer so i am hoping not to have the resonence that some other de cats produce,
The service i have recieved so far has been faultless
I will post some pics when fitted and a sound clip
The performance seems about the same but the pickup is alot better the flat spot is still there between 2250 & 2800 revs but pulls though it better but the sound makes you a fare bit more spirted in the way you drive (not that i needed any encouragment) i will let you know if the de cat makes any further improvement,
P.S. Do you have the GTA intake pipe? if so what differance did you find when fitted
I have a Cybox system from cats back.
The tailpipe was far too big for my liking and the internal section was actually smaller than the system ID and would therefore cause a restriction.
I had no problems with having it altered and the bends are mandrel (the best).
I would highly recommend Cybox as the quality is excellent and the price is very good indeed. Sounds good too!
