About to buy 147 1.6 TS: please help on MOT Advisory Items
I'm about to buy (already left £250 deposit) an Alfa 147 1.6 TS Lusso, 2005, 51000 miles, for £2.500
It looks to me very good, the retailer did MOT it today and it got following advisory items:
1 (all) Body has Sllght corrosion [6.l.B.2]
2 Front (X 2) brake disc worn, pitted or scored, but not seriously weakened [3.5.1i]
3 Rear (X 2) Coil spring corroded [2.4.C.1b]
4 Exhaust back box casing corroded
Is this normal for a car of that age? Is it anything very expensive to replace or fix? I had an old Ka (famous to be prone to rust) and it costed me £400 for rust problems that was eating the bottom.
On this one I noticed some small rust bubbles also around the bolts on the alloy wheels. I don't want to loose the deposit and I like the car a lot (mint state outside and inside), but I'm slightly worried.
Also...I live in Norwich (UK), anyone knows a good garage here able to work on an Alfa without going to the official Alfa dealer/service that is going to be much more expensive?
Please advice, it would be much appreciated, I should take the car tomorrow so I need to quickly have an idea!
