I have a GT with a ConnectNav+ fitted (no, not new, I wouldn't have bothered otherwise).
Has anybody out there made the voice commands for the 'phone work properly?
I have the instruction manual, and have managed to store a command against an address book entry, and get it to play back at me when asked.
When I want to use that command, however, the system will not respond in the right way despite following the instructions "calling a number by voice sample" on page 210 of my manual. The manual, incidentally, is for the 147 and 147GTA but I'm not sure that makes any difference.
Specifically, when the activating/deactivating voice recognition button is pressed briefly, there is a beep, which I take to be an invitation to speak a command. The command I utter is "Select name" as soon as I hear the beep. It just says "sorry" when I do this, and does not recognise the command. However, when I say "call" after the beep it sometimes works, but not consistently, saying "name please" in response. I did manage to dial the wrong number once doing this, but I've no idea how I did it!
Any pointers would be appreciated, as I have no wish to fiddle with 'phone buttons whilst I am on the move. It's illegal, anyway.
