156 no go, just mad flickering warning lights
Tried to start 156 yesterday, and nothing happened. Turned the key to the first position, and was met with a mass of flickering warning lights, but no noises. Then turned the key to the second position, which would normally fire the thing into life, but nothing happened, and all the flickering lights disappeared as well. Fired it up using jump leads, and then drove 40 miles on the motorway - thinking this would re-charge the battery. Came off motorway, slowed down at roundabout, and thing died again.
What's happening? It will only start with jump leads. Also, when you try to turn the radio on it now says 'CODE', the tripometer thingy keeps re-setting itself to zero, but mileometer isn't affected, and the airbag warning light stays on when driving. The clock still works though.
Searched 'Forum', and read bits about 'relays' - could it be this, or is it something more expensive like the ECU?
