Quite a few of us have done this successfully .... it's not difficult but can be fiddly. Had a look at my How-to on my website? That was written from memory but I managed to change mine in about 1 1/2 with no workshop cd. Not sure now I've got one it would have made much difference
Only thing to watch is access as the intake pipes get in the way and you wll probably have to take these off. Then it will depend on the length of sockets/extension whether the battery comes out
