thermostat replacement.

Hi ladies and Gentleman .

Havent been as active as I would have liked to due to Blocking software at work . Bloody Audi !

The threatened ice age due december has prompt me to replace the thermostat once and for all.

Any problems in replacing one , i do have the alfa wprkshop cd rom.

I replaced my thermostat a few months ago. I bought it from Shop4Parts for about 34.

You will also need a set of replacement jubilee clips in case you break any of the original ones and 4 litres of replacement coolant to top up the system after you flush it out.

Quite a few of us have done this successfully .... it's not difficult but can be fiddly. Had a look at my How-to on my website? That was written from memory but I managed to change mine in about 1 1/2 with no workshop cd. Not sure now I've got one it would have made much difference

Only thing to watch is access as the intake pipes get in the way and you wll probably have to take these off. Then it will depend on the length of sockets/extension whether the battery comes out
