Just has Conti SP2's wear out and wanted cheap tyres to replace as going to do full wishbone, roll bar and drop link with poly bushes next year. I'll put good tyres on then, or so I thought.
Ended up with some Sailun Atrezzo Z4+AS 225/45 17 91w xl. Now the car rides better, softer sidewalls and no stiff run flat bone jarring any longer. Didn't even need to balance the tyres. And they are quieter.
Now all I can hear is the Bridgestone RE050 Potenzas on the back, with their run flat crash bang sidewalls. Shame they have a few thousand left in them.
Blind test in yankeeland put the Sailun just behind the Conti's, but at 40% cheaper, it appears I may have done well here.
Yes, I can feel the sidewalls flex a little more, but I don't drive like a hoon and the rubber doesn't have that greasy touch like Hankooks and Falkens which I had before and they were Sh--e in the wet. Im hoping for good things from these cheapies in the wet now.
Best bit, know a bloke so got two tyres fitted for £95. I think one has had a result.
