15" Tyres

Guys please help, a friend of mine who owns a 147 1.6 120bhp wants to replace his tyres, but we don't know what to choose. I know this has been discussed in the past, but i 'm too old for reading 30 long threads about tyres

So here are the details, the dimensions are 195/60/15 and the budget is kind of limited (so the F1 is probably out of the question). Since the Greek roads are slippery and ..glossy ( ) the tyre should be something "soft", something that comes into operating temperature kind of easy. A decent grip is of course necessary and reduced noise would be welcome.

Any opinions would be appreciated

Re: 15" Tyres

I have driven only two sets of tyres on my 147. Good Year Eagle NCT5 and Bridgestone Potenza RE050. I can only comment that out of these two, Bridgestones are far better. I like that they are loosing grip progresively and are quiet. NCT5 isnt bad tyre at all, but after this experience, I wouldnt go back. But I have no idea about bridgestone price in Greece.

Re: 15" Tyres

Yannis, believe me, with 17" wheels I would have them ruined in no time (crap roads). Besides I'm avoiding any extra spendings because I want to move. Permanently, to another country.

Re: 15" Tyres

Wanna bet who has the worst roads? They re not better here, so i have to drive slow most of the times (thats why lowering a car makes it slower instead of faster )
