Reference the rear window problem - I'd be more inclined to suspect the switch - the motor is unlikely to overheat in the short period of activity winding down. Could also be the relay. If you have to strip the door trim off to check, its dead easy to test the motor - the wires to it don't know which is pos or neg, so just apply a 12v feed and earth respectively. If it doesn't wind down, swap the feed and earth, and it should wind down. swap back again when its wound down, and 99.9% of the time it'll wind up - thereby proving the fault not to be the motor...
