I have been meaning to ask this for some time, but after watching the Top Gear video of the GTA, something in it reminded me to post this.
My car tends to have a intermittent (but when it happens its bad) steering wheel wobble at around 70/75 MPH. I thought months back that it could be down to the original tyres not being balanced correctly, but since they have been replaced its still happening.
After doing an oil changed myself a week or so ago, I had a good inspection of the drive shafts, but all appears to be O.K short of disassembly!
Does anyone else have this problem and know the reason for it. Its done it since new, which ties in with what JC was saying with the GTA in the video. Hard acceleration makes do difference, just 75% of the time it wobbles at around 70MPH or so and after 10 miles for example, it goes away
