And not surprisingly...
When Leatherites talk about leather it is always...'Oh how good it looks' not 'Oh how wonderful it feels to sit in'
Here in Australia the Only alfa Romeo you readily can have without Leather seats, is a 147.
All the rest are Leather because people believe that leather is 'luxurious'..well it is probably is on a cow, but leather being stiffer than fabric gives a harder seat to sit on.
Also every time I drive a leather car, including an Alfa Romeo in Winter, the first 20-30 minutes results in a Cold bum. In Summer the seats are Hot just like crappy PVC (Vinyl) seats, when you first get into the car ,after it has been sitting in 40 decree C heat for several Hours. I have always owned an Airconditioned car since 1979, but A/C does not help with leather .
The so-called "grippy" Leather GT seats I find totaly uncomfortable, the worst seats in the Current Alfa Romeo range, except for the 'identical' sports leather in the 147. The GT seats are unconfortable even in Alfatex...a remarkable job by Alfa Romeo.. The worst seats in an Alfa Romeo, I owned previously, was a 1983 Alfetta GTV. The Head rest tended to 'push' your head subconsciously forward as your hair touched it, resulting in a stiff neck.
