Is this most likely just a dying battery?
Having a few little issues. A week or so ago I had a problem with the fuel injection relay (the one in the fusebox near the battery) on my 156 JTS. The result of which was a flat battery (constant cranking, cleaning etc until it fired). I charged the battery but the window on the top still shows black (should be green for fully charged), this, I assume, is either due to it being at the end of its life or the fact I only have a 50ah charger.
Anyway, the car sometimes struggles to start but will usually. the other issue is the headlights, if I turn them on while the car is idling they flicker and theres a buzz coming from the fusebox in the cabin, if I fast idle the car or drive the lights are fine but as soon as I lift the throttle, the buzz is back!
I'm assuming this is due to a dying battery but someone put my mind at ease before I start pulling wires...lol
The car's a 2005 (55 reg) 156 JTS, 76k miles full history and all the belts etc are up to date.
the battery is an Alfa labeled Exide type and could possibly have been on the car since new.
