147 Cloverleaf - bona fide spec?

I'm thinking of replacing a MINI with a pre-facelift 147. At the moment a 1.6 T/S Lusso is favourite, as we've got this engine in our 156 Sportwagon, and, touch everything, it's not been too troublesome.

However, I'm also thinking about a 1.9 JTD - but not the 16v version - but abit concerned about the service costs.

I've also seen a number of 147 Cloverleafs. Were these ever officially imported in to the UK, or were they just a dealer 'tart up'? I ask this, because some I've seen have sexy wheels, whilst others have wheel trims. The name 'Cloverleaf' appeals, with all the history, but not if it was just a cynical marketing ploy to shift a few more pre-facelift 147s.

Re: 147 Cloverleaf - bona fide spec?

Officially there is not 147 Cloverleaf. I remember to hear that some UK dealers had badge the "old" 147 with a cloverleaf or something, add new wheels and something else. But that's it.

Mine is also a 147 Cloverleaf but, the badge was an offer from a fellow Alfisti at the same time I got it remapped by AD.
