That just means you're squeazing the hose...
Living in one of Europe's hottest regions with a V6 that notoriously generates a lot of heat, I have had all the problems you can imagine. I have solved my problems with a flush, a new thermal switch that triggers earlier and decent coolant.
In your case I guess you need to ask yourself at what temp does the fan switch on and at what temp should it switch on? Find out and check it as you could have a dirty or faulty thermal switch and/or radiator. I also know a chap with a 156 who suddenly saw his temp rise and discovered he had hit a swarm of bugs that had clogged up the radiator so check that out too.
In any case I would get the system flushed and cleaned and replenish with some good quality coolant with a higher boiling point.
And stop sqeazing the hose.
