Sorry to be rubbish, I went to my local motor factors today, the dude at parts produced a range of catalogues for front brake pads. He then tried to find the appropriate bits for a late 1999 2.0 TS (selespeed) and told me that in catalogues it quotes 2 possible part numbers for the car. Some some of difference between the connector plugs for the wear warning doodads!
Any idea what I should be buying?
Even buypartsby quotes 2 different pads for 2.0TS.
If you don't drive hard on the public road, or participate in trackdays, then you could do a lot worse than the Lockheed (Delphi) pads. They'll work from dirt cold, are quite stable and have a good operating heat range for a standard pad.
Delphi are the OEM for many makes....
The design of the rear calipers was changed around about year 2000 cars. At that point the 156 started to get the same calipers as a 147, which means the pads are smaller on later Cars. I would ask a dealer to check your by the Chassis number and advise which pads you want. Note Ferodo don't do a DS pad for the rear of the later 156's and 147.
