1999 156 V6 Stiff gearchange
Having been forced to sell my former 156, I have today bought a bright red (yes the one that fades) V6 156.
Its done 87k, last owner some 7 years, and garaged for a number of years, only doing nominal mileage.
Most things about the car are good, but I notice a marked difference between the gear changes of this one and my earlier car which was smooth and neat.
This one is extremely difficult left to right, and as such not easy to find the right gear all the time. I have of course searched the forums but that left me a little confused.
One method seems to be remove battery and battery tray, exposing linkage, which I believe I then lubricate but, I also read of cleaning bushes.
I apologise for being a tad dense, but anyone got any advice?
