Most people complain about their airbag lights turning on. I found only one thread with (apparently) the same problem I have, but inconclusive in the resolution of it.
I own a '99 156 Selespeed and have no airbag lights whatsoever - normal and passenger warning lights. They should come on when one turns the ignition on in order to perform the diagnose, but in my case nothing happens. I only noticed it when I was told by the examiner a few days ago, and I have the car for almost a year now - and I think I've never saw it
A couple of months back I have a faulty crank sensor and starter engine problem, probably due to a busted battery, and my mechanic connected it to his diagnostic software (he works on Alfas only) and found nothing out of the ordinary - no errors.
The indicator LED is present, and no black tape on the airbag icon. Tried a friend's indicator to no avail. I disconnect the passenger's airbag with the key and no indication of it appears in the odometer. I even disconnected the ACU and the problem remains.
I can't really tell if there is a problem with the airbags because no warning lights or errors appear, but I saw in the e-learn that the system has a 10A fuse and I think that it may be blown, but I can't identify its location in order to try it out (and save me a few € solving it).
Anyone knows where it is, or had a similar problem as me? If so how was it solved?
