What is a CDA?

Can someone explain what a CDA does and how getting a better one will improve performance (or is it all sales blurb?)

Re: What is a CDA?

Your best bet is to fone some one with one and get them to do a rolling road before and after on a standard car.

The bloke with the 3.0 V6 145 cloverleaf has one fitted, on the RR it lost one Hbp with the BMC CDA fitted and with out any air fliter at all.

I want to fit one to my JTD at some point. So i will do a before and after RR just to find out if there is any difference.
