156 2.4 jtdm 20v Abs airlock problem!

Hi all
I am searching for some information on a problem i have on my 2004 156 2.4 jtdm 20v, (I have posted about it before but i have been away and still have the same problem)
I had my flywheel and clutch done a few months ago and the mechanic managed to get an airlock in the abs system, he didnt have the right software to pulse the abs whilst bleeding the breaks so the problem of spongy/sticking breaks keeps coming back, even though normal bleeding does improve it slightly for a while, I am trying to avoid taking it to an Alfa dealer to get sorted for obv reasons.
I have downloaded the FiatECUScan software and can see the option for ABS under 156 2.4 jtd, I am hoping this is the same as the Jtdm 20V? it says the abs system is a 'Bosch ABS 5.3' system?...anyway, what i would like to know off someone is this...
can i give this software to the garage and will he be able to use it?
does he need a special lead? (i have read somewhere about it needing different pins?) and if so where would i get one?
is the 156 2.4 jtd the same as a 20v jtdm with regards to the fiatECUScan free software?

basically i know this problem is a known problem so i am hoping someone has been in the same boat and knows exactly what to do, you guys have always come up trumps in the past

Thanks guys!! any info welcome
