My daughter kindly knocked my drivers mirror off whilst parking. I have a replacement. How do I take the interior cover off? Do ii need special tools once its off and is there anything difficult/unusual I need to know about. Thanks in advance

The interior cover 'pops' off - there's three screws / bolts under it that hold the mirror on - don't remember what kinda head they have though

If they are the same as the GT, they will be Torx bolts, T40 as I recall. At a pinch, a suitable allen key will turn them, they are not likely to be corroded or super tight.

Undo electrics, undo bolts, remove old mirror, put new one in, do up bolts, attach electrics, snap cover back on.

Only trick is that you need three hands to old on the mirror while you are fiddling with bolts - an assistant to hold the mirror is handy - or you will scratch the door when it falls off.

Bolts are usually Allen bolts or 10mm bolt headed.......I usually remove two of the bolts and slacken the third until hand-tight, then unplug the electrics - you may have to "fish" the socket out from behind the doorcard - then hold the mirror with one hand whilst removing the final bolt with the other.

Its pretty easy, really
