147 Bonnet Alignment?
This afternoon I remembered that I needed to top up my 147 with screenwash, however when I closed the bonnet I could hear a scraping noise. It isn't loud and took me a while to locate it but it seems to be coming from the driver's side bonnet hinge. I was going to record it but in typical fashion I cannot replicate the sound.
As far as I know the car has never been involved in a collision and on the surface both the hinges and the gas struts are in good condition. When I did close the bonnet a closer inspection showed that the bonnet itself is not flush with the bumper, the photos should give you a better idea of what I'm waffling on about.
There are also some light scratch marks under the windscreen on the driver's side. The near side has virtually no scratch marks which seems odd. The bonnet opens and closes fine with no movement and it isn't loose or rattling when on the move but I don't want it to scrape away half the driver's side pillar either. Can anything cause this to happen and does anyone know if I can repair this without new hinges etc? Cheers
Sorry about the car, she needs a bath, but that's recent Yorkshire weather for you.
