GT Replacing front wheel bearings - any gotchas?
Terrible droning coming from the front so am about to tackle the bearings.
Had a word with my Indy today, happy for me to drop the hub uprights down to him and he'll press the bearings in. I replaced the shocks, springs, upper/lower wishbones and ARB so am well aware how it all goes together.
I know to leave the ABS sensor alone. I've got a thin-walled 36mm socket, only thing that worries me is getting the hub off the driveshaft, is it a tapered fit requiring a hub puller (which I don't have) or do they come off relatively easily?
Anything else to watch for?
All the best
Loose - not close, compact, or tight in structure or arrangement
Lose - to part with or come to be without, as through theft, accident, negligence, etc.
