Just changed the belt and water pump on my GT today. A bit overdue as it is a 2007 car but only 50K miles and it has had little use over the winter. I have to say that the belt was still in excellent condition and the water pump looked as good as the new one. New pump has a metal impeller - I know that this is significant with the V6s but no idea if it is good or bad on a jtd.
Straightforward job but the three lines on the belt had me worried for a minute or two. Also had a major search through every box in the garage for thread lock for the water pump bolts!
