Hmmm ex manifold

anyone got any idea why there would be 3 gaskets on my ex manifold is this a common area for leaks?

noone got any ideas as to why someone might have done this just seems a bit pointless bearing in mind they are about£12=15 a pop?

Has the manifold been repaired (welded)?

Localised heat from a welding torch can and usually does distort the manifold!

Using multiple gaskets is a way of compensating for mating surfaces that are not true.

It looks normal no signs of welds that I can see. I was mainly wondering if it was a known fault ?Its just a tad odd not had the engine running the bottom end had gone in the prosses of doing an engine change noticed it when I was taking it apart! luckily have a different manifold on the engine thats going in so will have to have a much closer inspection be fore I re fit the other one.
