Re: Buying a selespeed
Had my Selespeed from new (Oct 2000), done 55k miles. Clutch has just gone (see separate thread), but I can think of a few circumstances recently that may have brought that on. Otherwise, car has been wonderful. Selespeed takes a bit of getting used to, but it's a fantastic driving experience once you've cracked its little foibles, like changing down automatically just as you were about to change manually, with the result that you drop two gears instead of one.
Lift off the throttle slightly when changing up (just like a manual), don't use 'City' mode, and practice low speed manouevring on a slope. But above all, enjoy!
The wife doesn't like driving it, but that's a bonus too!
