Cambelt/Water pump question

I've just bought a GT 1.9 Cloverleaf from Capozzoli garage in Ilchester. Part of the deal was that they would change the cambelt and water pump for trade price - I paid them 250. The car is a 2008 with 33000 miles. When I picked up the car I asked for an invoice for the work which they promised they would send me. Despite 2 subsequent reminders, they have failed to provide the invoice. The only proof I have that they have done the work is a signed note in the service book and the cambelt diagram thingy stuck to the engine cover. I am now suspicious that they didn't change the cambelt and pump. Is it easy to check by examination if the belt and pump are new?

Thanks for any advice.

Current cars : GT 3.2 standard + Q2, 2.0 TS Spider (916). Previous Italian cars: GTV 3.0 P2 (916), 146ti, Spider 2.0 TS (916), 147 2.0 TS, GT Cloverleaf Jtdm, GT Jtdm (crushed by tractor), Fiat Coupe 16v Turbo, Fiat Coupe 20v Turbo.

Hi, yes it is quite easy to take the top part of the cam belt cover off, about 10 ribe headed bolts, though if you dont have a ribe bit then a 40 torx will do it.
With the cover off you will clearly see if the belt is new and the water pump is between and just below the cam and pump toothed pulleys.
