It's true, nice ones are getting pretty scarce now... especially the 'Q-System' variety!
I noticed recently, a rise in the number of V6 2.5 Busso engines being advertised on the bay... this can only really mean that the cars they come from have been broken up.
At worse, I guess it means there will be reasonably priced second hand spares around for a bit longer, although specific spares for some of the rarer cars are getting hard to find.
I recently required a new rev counter (the well known battery drain fault) but because my 156 is a 'Q', it can't use the rev counter from any of the other models.
There were no second hand one around and my local Alfa/Fiat dealer wanted £280 for a special order unit from Italy!
Luckily, I was able to repair the PCB in my one cheaply.
'Howmanyleft.com' now state that there are only 4 Q-System 156's on the road... those of us that have one, don't think that is correct, but they are pretty rare now!
I'm not concerned if the values go up or down, she doesn't owe me anything and is still a lovely ride!
