I dont think it is that let me explain why, my whole turbo was removed and reconditioned and a year ago because of having sticking vanes and the symptoms are not the same,
the car didnt actually go in to limp mode i heard the bang and then i noticed i had lost power, however i has in heavy traffic in the middle of marseille and the bang may not of come from the car,
the car is not currently in limp mode (no difference if you restart the engine) and i have no power over 2k,
most egr problems i have read say they have no power up to 2k then the car comes alive, with me its the other way round i have near to nothing over 2k but up to 2k it seems ok,
I will try that idea pud327 taking off the egr solenoid and with the software see if i can activate the egr valve,
Is it worth blanking off the egr, i did buy a plate with a hole in it, but I am worried it may cause damage to the engine over time?
I was wondering what would happen if i drove around without the egr valve plugged in? obviously the mcsf light would come on but would the car go in to a default mode and work correctly?
Thanks again guys for your input
, i hope i can get to the bottm of this
