147 JTD with 17" wheels

Hi all,

Considering going from 16 to 17" wheels on my JTD. Are 17s considered a 'mod' to insurance company?

Thanks in advance for your input.

There is no mention of them on your VC5 so as long as they are not after-market alloys you don't need to declare them and the insurer has no way of knowing that they weren't there from the factory. Most aftermarket alloys make the car less steal-able in my opinion but then insurers charge more for fitting uprated brakes... nuttier than a squirrel orgy!
