Rear brake dust
Since owning my 147 JTD, I have noticed that the rear discs really seem to produce a lot of dust - in fact more so than the fronts in fact. They also produce more than the petrols it seems. The pads are only 1/3rd worn, so its not like they are wearing excessivly at all.
Whats the reason for this?
- Airflow (although my mums 307 is not effected by this)
- Brake Bias - although the brakes are the same as the other non GTA's, I think the Bias may be set to more rear being applied because of the heavier front end??
Also when the car was new, after a longish journey, it used to sqweek around the rear, when turning right hand corners. Now its a louder sqweek turning left or right.
Autodelta looked at it when it went in for a service, but found nothing wrong with the rears (probably because London is so full of noise!!), Jano glazzed the fronts.
Any ideas anyone?
Ahh!! before anyones says it, its not a seizing wheel bearing as the wheels are not abnormally hot.
