Monday night blast over Woodhead
After a very heavy bank holiday weekend I took the 156 for a blast over Woodhead Pass last night as the sun was setting to blow out the cobwebs.
It never ceases to amaze me just how fantastic this car is, even on the factory fit suspension which is now fifteen years old. Yes there is some body roll and the damping really needs freshening up, but the car has tonnes of grip and the steering is just so sweet. Definitely the best steering of any car I have driven. Even the brakes which feel a bit weedy in normal driving seem to respond well to a good back road session, being very progressive.
Really looking forward to her getting the Koni treatment at Alfatune next week and then doing the same run as a comparison.
In the meantime, never being one to miss a pic whoring opportunity....ahem:
Luck is the residue of opportunity and design...
